This is Page 4 for my continuing series of the Scrapbook Collection as a gift to my Mother. Just some ideas to share with you! Check them out!
Read my project intro here. I created this album for my Mom, this is a project of Love. After years of collecting and months of organizing, sorting, and reminiscing, the family history came to life with die cuts, shiny paper, and glittery photo corners.
As a continuing project of the Album of Precious Family Memories, we are now working on PAGE 4. Find a printable list of Materials and Instructions here.
Materials Page 4:
- FAV Shimmer
- Hinted Gold Cardstock
- Blue Sodalite Cardstock
- Pure Gold Cardstock
NOTE: A sheet of embossed ivory paper, or emboss a sheet of Hinted Gold Cardstock. I had the embossed sheet, so I used it. Pure Gold for the name tags.
- Red Liner tape: 1/8″ & 1/4″
- Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes: Persian Dawn & Cosmic Shimmer glue, or your preferred brand
- Spellbinders Borderabilities Die: A2 Brackets
- Cut the Hinted Gold Cardstock, 2.5″ wide, cut 2 strips, down the long side.
- Circle punch, 1.25″ or bigger, anyone you have on hand.
Instruction Page 4:
Cut the top & bottom photo borders from the Spellbinders Borderabilities dies: A2 bracket. That means you cut two designs alike, top and bottom. If your photo is wider, line up the dies and cut a wider border or just extend the solid paper to cover the top, evenly on each side. I have the Blue Sodalite running the full length behind the photo since it is old and wanted to give it good support. I used red liner tape to attach the photo.
I put the Hinted Gold 2.5″ strips on each side of the 12″x12″ scrapbook page and inset the strips 1/4″ from the edges. Overlap and centered the embossed white paper over the strips and mount the photo on the Blue Sodalite over this.
Next, I used the 1/8″ red liner tape to vertically edge all the layers and covered it with gilding flakes.
Print the names and title on Pure Gold Cardstock and cut out using a circle punch or a circle die. The circles allowed me to do additional names as they were remembered, and add them later. I also used 1/8″ red liner tape and gilding flakes to underline one of the name tags and a Recollections embellishment to add weight to the top name tag. I added a touch of glue under the name tags.
